Figures are computed on your device; nothing is sent anywhere.

Formula

dailyMl = weightKg * 150; mlPerFeed = dailyMl / feedsPerDay

How the calculation works

Enter the baby's weight in kilograms as measured at the most recent check, since the milk need scales directly with weight.

Enter how many times the baby feeds in a day and the age in months to keep a useful record alongside the figure.

The tool multiplies weight by 150 for the daily millilitres and divides that by the number of feeds to give the amount for each feed.

Common mistakes

When to use it

Worked example

A 4 kg baby fed 6 times a day needs about 600 ml a day, which is about 100 ml per feed.

Daily milk (ml) 600.00
Milk per feed (ml) 100.00

Common questions

Should I wake my baby to reach the daily amount?

No, waking a sleeping baby to hit a number is not advised, and you should follow your health visitor's or doctor's guidance on feeding frequency for your baby's age.
