Figures are computed on your device; nothing is sent anywhere.

Formula

feedKg = birds * dailyFeedG * days / 1000; total = chicksAndMedicine + feedKg * pricePerKg; profit = sale - total

How the calculation works

The feed weight multiplies the number of ducks by the grams each duck eats daily and by the rearing days, then divides by a thousand to get kilograms.

The total cost adds the chick and medicine lump sum to that feed weight priced per kilogram.

For 1,000 ducks at 120 g a day over 60 days the feed is 7,200 kg, which at 50 taka plus 20,000 taka of chicks and medicine gives a 40,000 taka profit on a 420,000 taka sale.

Common mistakes

When to use it

Worked example

1,000 ducks eating 120 g a day for 60 days need 7,200 kg of feed, which at 50 taka a kg plus 20,000 taka of chicks and medicine costs 380,000 taka, so a 420,000 taka sale leaves 40,000 taka profit.

Feed (kg) ৳7,200.00
Total ৳380,000.00
Profit ৳40,000.00

Common questions

Why is the feed weight divided by 1000?

The daily intake is entered in grams, so dividing the total grams by a thousand converts the result into kilograms, which is the unit the feed price uses.
