Figures are computed on your device; nothing is sent anywhere.

Formula

total = hours * pumpHourlyCost + fuelCost; perAcre = total / acres

How the calculation works

The operating cost multiplies the pumping hours by the hourly cost of running the pump, covering power, oil and operator time.

Fuel is added as a separate line, so a shared diesel bill or a one-off fuel purchase is captured without changing the hourly rate.

Dividing the total by the acres irrigated gives the per acre figure, so 2,000 taka over 2 acres is 1,000 taka per acre.

Common mistakes

When to use it

Worked example

Running a pump for 10 hours at 150 taka an hour with 500 taka of fuel costs 2,000 taka, or 1,000 taka per acre on 2 acres.

Total ৳2,000.00
Per acre 1,000.00

Common questions

Does the hourly cost already include fuel?

It usually covers only power, oil and operator time, so enter the fuel or electricity bill separately in the fuel field to avoid underestimating the irrigation cost.
