How the calculation works
Enter the price, data allowance and talk-time minutes of both packages you are considering.
The tool divides each package price by its gigabytes and by its minutes, giving four comparable unit prices.
Compare the per-GB and per-minute figures side by side and the package that wins on both is the better buy for your usage.
Common mistakes
- Judging only by the total price, because a cheaper package can cost more per GB once the data allowance is considered.
- Mixing voice minutes with data in one comparison, since a package generous in minutes may still be poor value for data.
When to use it
- Use it to pick between two recharge offers when one has more data and the other is cheaper.
- Use it to check whether a larger bundle really gives better value than the smaller one you usually buy.
Worked example
Pack 1 costs Tk 599 for 30 GB and 300 minutes, so it is Tk 19.97 per GB and Tk 2.00 per minute. Pack 2 costs Tk 449 for 20 GB and 200 minutes, so it is Tk 22.45 per GB and Tk 2.25 per minute. Pack 1 is cheaper on both measures.
