Formula
How the calculation works
Enter the fee the notary charges per page, the number of pages to be attested and the fee for preparing an affidavit.
The tool multiplies the per-page fee by the pages and adds the affidavit fee to give the notary's own charge.
The stamp paper or court fee stamp cost is shown as a separate purchase and is not added to the notary fee.
Common mistakes
- Assuming the stamp cost is part of the notary fee, because the stamp paper is bought separately and stuck on the document.
- Notarising a document that needs a different authority, since some papers must be attested by a first-class magistrate or the issuing office.
When to use it
- Use it to know the notary charge before you take documents for attestation.
- Use it to compare the total of attestation plus an affidavit against a lawyer's quoted package fee.
Worked example
Attesting 5 pages at Tk 100 each costs Tk 500, and an affidavit fee of Tk 300 brings the notary charge to Tk 800. The stamp paper is bought separately.
Common questions
Is the stamp cost included in the notary fee?
No, the stamp paper or court fee stamp is bought separately and affixed to the document, so it is a separate expense from the notary's charge.
