Recent
Formula
How the calculation works
Enter the fees for your chosen booklet type, validity period and delivery speed, all of which the Department of Immigration and Passports publishes with VAT included.
A 64-page passport and a 10-year validity each cost more, and super express delivery adds the most on top.
The tool adds the booklet, validity and delivery components to give the total fee payable.
Common mistakes
- Choosing 5-year validity without checking eligibility, because 10-year passports are issued only to applicants aged 18 to 65.
- Forgetting that express delivery needs a previous MRP or e-passport, since without one the application falls back to regular timing.
When to use it
- Use it to budget for a new passport or a renewal before you visit the passport office.
- Use it to weigh how much faster delivery is worth against the extra fee you would pay.
Worked example
A 48-page, 5-year e-passport on regular delivery costs Tk 4,025. Choosing express delivery raises it to Tk 6,325, an increase of Tk 2,300.
Common questions
Does the published e-passport fee include VAT?
Yes, the fees published for applications inside Bangladesh, such as Tk 4,025 for a 48-page 5-year passport, already include the 15 percent VAT.
