PF Loan Calculator
Estimate how much provident fund loan you are eligible for and the monthly repayment that follows.
Recent
Formula
How the calculation works
The calculator multiplies your provident fund balance by the maximum percentage your fund allows.
It converts the yearly interest rate to a monthly rate and applies the standard instalment formula.
The result is the fixed monthly repayment that clears the loan over the months you choose.
Common mistakes
- Forgetting that many funds cap the loan below your full balance, so the eligible figure is lower than expected.
- Choosing a very long term only for a small instalment and paying far more interest in total.
When to use it
- Use it before applying for a PF loan to confirm the maximum you can borrow without closing your fund.
- Use it to compare repayment months, because a longer term lowers the instalment but raises total interest.
Worked example
A PF balance of 200,000 with a 75 percent cap gives an eligible loan of 150,000; at 12 percent over 24 months the monthly payment is about 7,061 taka.
Common questions
How is the PF loan monthly payment found?
The eligible amount is the balance times the allowed percent, and the instalment uses the monthly rate in the standard loan formula.
