Figures are computed on your device; nothing is sent anywhere.

Formula

feedKg = birds * dailyFeedG * days / 1000; cost = feedKg * pricePerKg

How the calculation works

The feed weight multiplies the number of birds by the grams each bird eats daily and by the number of days, then divides by a thousand to convert grams to kilograms.

Multiplying that feed weight by the price per kilogram gives the total feed cost for the whole batch.

For 1,000 birds at 110 g a day over 45 days the feed is 4,950 kg, and at 55 taka a kg the cost reaches 272,250 taka.

Common mistakes

When to use it

Worked example

1,000 birds eating 110 g a day for 45 days need 4,950 kg of feed, which at 55 taka a kg costs 272,250 taka.

Feed (kg) ৳4,950.00
Cost ৳272,250.00

Common questions

Why is the feed weight divided by 1000?

The daily intake is entered in grams, so dividing the total grams by a thousand converts the result into kilograms, which is the unit the feed price uses.
