Saudi EOSB Calculator (End of Service Benefit)
Estimate your Saudi Arabian end of service benefit from your final wage and length of service, using the half month then full month rule.
Recent
Formula
How the calculation works
The calculator counts each completed year of service and gives half a month of wage for each of the first five years.
Every further year earns a full month of wage, so long service builds benefit at twice the early rate.
It multiplies the total months of pay by your final monthly wage to reach the end of service benefit.
Common mistakes
- Resigning early and forgetting that Saudi EOSB is reduced by a resignation factor if you leave before five years.
- Using the basic wage alone when the benefit for many workers is based on the last total wage including fixed allowances.
When to use it
- Use it when leaving a Saudi job to check the settlement before you sign the final clearance form.
- Use it to compare staying a few more years against resigning now, since benefits rise faster after year five.
Worked example
A final wage of 6,000 SAR over 8 years gives first5 = 5 x 0.5 = 2.5, after5 = 3 x 1 = 3, so 5.5 months of pay and an EOSB of 6,000 x 5.5 = 33,000 SAR.
Common questions
Is the Saudi EOSB paid on basic or full wage?
The benefit is normally calculated on the last full wage including fixed allowances, though rules vary by contract, so confirm your total wage.
