Figures are computed on your device; nothing is sent anywhere.

Formula

wallAreaSqft = wallLengthFt * wallHeightFt; brickCount = wallAreaSqft * (wallThickness === '10' ? 11 : 5.5); cementBags = wallAreaSqft * (wallThickness === '10' ? 0.04 : 0.02); totalCost = brickCount*brickPrice + cementBags*cementBagPrice

How the calculation works

Enter the total length and height of the wall in feet and choose the thickness, which is usually 5 inches for a simple boundary and 10 inches for a load-bearing one.

Enter the price you pay per brick and per bag of cement at your local market so the cost reflects your own rates.

The tool multiplies length by height for the area, applies the bricks and cement per square foot for the chosen thickness, and prices both for the total material cost.

Common mistakes

When to use it

Worked example

A wall 100 feet long and 5 feet high has an area of 500 square feet, so a 5 inch wall needs about 2750 bricks and 10 bags of cement, costing about 38500 Taka at 12 Taka a brick and 550 Taka a bag.

Wall area (sq ft) 500.00
Bricks needed 2,750.00
Cement bags 10
Total cost ৳38,500.00

Common questions

Does the estimate include sand and steel?

No, it covers only bricks and cement, so add sand, steel for pillars and labour separately, as those are usually quoted on their own by the supplier.
