Figures are computed on your device; nothing is sent anywhere.

Formula

volume = count * length * width * depth; concreteCost = volume * concreteRate; steelLaborCost = volume * steelLaborRate; totalCost = concreteCost + steelLaborCost

How the calculation works

The tool multiplies the count by the length, width and depth of one member to get the concrete volume.

It multiplies that volume by the concrete rate to get the concrete cost of the whole set.

It multiplies the same volume by the steel-and-labour rate and adds it to the concrete cost for the total.

Common mistakes

When to use it

Worked example

Four members 3 metres long, 0.25 metres wide and 0.3 metres deep give 0.9 cubic metres, costing 8100 taka of concrete and 4230 taka of steel and labour, a total of 12330 taka.

Volume 0.90
Concrete cost ৳8,100.00
Steel & labor cost ৳56,400.00
Total cost ৳64,500.00

Common questions

Why are steel and labour shown as one rate?

Both are normally quoted to a household as a single rate per cubic metre, so they are combined here to keep the estimate simple.
