Kitchen Remodel Cost Calculator
Budget a kitchen remodel from its size, cabinet count, quality level and appliances.

Formula
How the calculation works
Cabinets are priced per unit and counters per square foot, and both scale with the quality multiplier you choose.
The appliances budget is added as a lump sum, and dividing the total by the area gives a cost per square foot to compare.
Because cabinets and counters scale together, a premium kitchen costs much more than the area alone would suggest.
Common mistakes
- Budgeting only for the area and forgetting cabinets, which are often the single biggest line.
- Choosing premium for cabinets and counters together, when a mixed finish gives most of the look for less.
When to use it
- Use it to compare two kitchen plans at different quality levels before you commit.
- It is not a quote; labour and brand choices move the real price well beyond these estimates.
Worked example
A 120 sq ft kitchen with 18 standard cabinets and 150,000 of appliances costs about 407,400, or 3,395 per sq ft.
Common questions
What drives the kitchen cost most?
Cabinets and appliances are the largest parts, so their count and quality matter most.
Is labour included?
Yes, the per-unit rates are all-in estimates that include fitting and installation.
