Figures are computed on your device; nothing is sent anywhere.

Formula

volumeCft = lengthFt * heightFt * (thicknessIn / 12); concreteCost = volumeCft * concreteRatePerCft; steelCost = volumeCft * steelRatePerCft; laborCost = volumeCft * laborRatePerCft; totalCost = concreteCost + steelCost + laborCost

How the calculation works

Enter the length, height and thickness of the wall, with the thickness in inches as designed by your engineer.

Enter the rates per cubic foot for concrete, steel and labour that your contractor or supplier is quoting.

The tool multiplies length, height and thickness in feet for the volume, applies each rate to that volume and adds the three costs for the total.

Common mistakes

When to use it

Worked example

A wall 30 feet long, 8 feet high and 12 inches thick has a volume of 240 cubic feet, so at 350 Taka concrete, 120 Taka steel and 60 Taka labour per cubic foot the total is 127200 Taka.

Volume (cft) 240.00
Concrete cost ৳84,000.00
Steel cost 28,800.00
Labour cost 14,400.00
Total cost ৳127,200.00

Common questions

Does the total include excavation and backfill?

No, it covers only concrete, steel and labour for the wall itself, so add excavation, backfill and drainage separately for a complete site cost.
