How the calculation works
The calculator multiplies the number of members by the fitra rate you enter for the chosen food basis.
In Bangladesh the flour basis is commonly around 115 taka per person, following the current market price.
The result is the total amount the household should distribute as Sadaqatul Fitr before the Eid prayer.
Common mistakes
- Using one member count while forgetting a guest or a newborn who is also counted in the household.
- Mixing the flour rate with the barley rate, which changes the total paid per person.

- Families use it during Ramadan to set aside the correct amount for every member before Eid.
- It also helps compare the flour, barley and dates rates when choosing a basis.

With 4 members and a rate of 115 taka, the total fitra is 460 taka.
