Figures are computed on your device; nothing is sent anywhere.

Formula

netGain = (salaryAfter - salaryBefore) * 12 * years - totalCourseCost; roiPercent = netGain / totalCourseCost * 100

How the calculation works

The calculator first finds the monthly salary increase and multiplies it by twelve to get the extra income in one year.

It multiplies that annual gain by the number of years you expect to keep the higher salary, then subtracts the total course cost.

Dividing the net gain by the course cost and multiplying by one hundred gives the return as a percentage.

Common mistakes

When to use it

Worked example

A course costing 200000 raises monthly salary from 30000 to 45000 over 3 years: net gain 340000 taka and a return of 170 percent.

Net gain -155,000.00
ROI (%) -77.50

Common questions

What does the return percentage mean?

It shows the net gain as a share of what the course cost, so 170 percent means you gain 1.7 taka for every taka spent.
