Figures are computed on your device; nothing is sent anywhere.

Formula

newFee = fee * (1 + percent/100); extraTotal = (newFee - fee) * years

How the calculation works

Enter your current tuition fee in Taka as it stands before the announced increase is applied.

Enter the yearly increase as a percentage and the number of years the rise will apply across your course.

The tool multiplies the fee by one plus the percentage over one hundred for the new fee, then multiplies the rise by the years for the extra total.

Common mistakes

When to use it

Worked example

With a fee of 50000 Taka, a 7 percent yearly rise and 4 years of study, the new fee is 53500 Taka and the extra across those years is 14000 Taka.

New fee 65,540.00
Extra total 15,540.00

Common questions

Does the extra total use a simple or compound rise?

It uses a simple rise on the current fee for each year, so if your institution compounds the increase the real extra will be a little higher.
